BlackBerry bold 9900 $300 on contract with T-Mobile cost?

Now that that with nary it is announced BlackBerry torch 9810 and 9860 overlooking NFC, looking like fat 9900 a significant head start on functions and what other OS 7 Smartphones from RIM will have. The disadvantage is that you may end up paying a premium according to one leaked slide from T-Mobile. We already know, they are in order, you start the device on August 31, but the price for the phone with a two year contract can $299 after mail-in rebate of $50 or $599 outright.

The BlackBerry bold is running at 14.4 Mbit / S to T-Mobile HSPA + network (call, that 4 G, if you want), and intensifying processor speed up to 1.2 GHz with a little help from 768 MB RAM. The screen goes back to the classic bold size of 2.8 inch and cranks up the resolution to 640 x 480. As already mentioned, NFC will be the big selling point, but there are a few other new additions, including a magnetic compass for augmented reality applications to use 720 p video recording on the 5-megapixel camera, Mobile HotSpot features and a new graphics rendering engine. If you want a closer look, you look at our hands-on video here.

$300 seems a little high, in the light of the latest Android phones on T-Mobile go for $199 or less. Several years ago, as a BlackBerry some cache brand value may have had RIM able, take off they have been, but I have a feeling that this price will drop very quickly. Who would like to participate, pick up the 9900 at the launch day at that price it on T-Mobile or elsewhere?
