Nokia has just announced their first 1GHz-Smartphone 500. It comes to the latest version of Symbian, run known as Anna, a 3.2-inch screen with a resolution of 640 x 360, 5 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM/EDGE support and penta (850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz) 14.4 Mbit/S 3 G support, which means it effective high-speed Internet access, regardless of where you are on the planet and use what operators have. B/g WiFi is also there, along with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and even GPS, this is amazing, when you consider that this thing will cost only €150 ($215), if it towards the end of Q3 ships this year. You are 2 color options, black and white, and regardless, what you choose you there 2 additional tags with each Nokia 500 will be delivered, so that you can choose what you will want to color configuration!
What do we think about this thing? It is too little, too late or is there a chance that the Nokia 500 sales helps Nokia Smartphone? Well … if Nokia, this thing is delivered on time, that we do not they are based on their recent track record, then on the market at the same time as their first Windows Mobile phone, sends a confusing message to consumers it believe. Update: Nokia has released the 500 on their developer site features detailed technical specifications. We are sad to say that the 1 GHz chip is running in the 500 at the ridiculous ARM11 architecture. To give a perspective: Apple moved to the ARM Cortex-A8, a generation more advanced than ARM11 with the 3GS in 2009; NVIDIA has the cortex-A9, two generations more advanced than the ARM11 in the Tegra 2; and the funny thing about all this is that Nokia has experience with the Cortex-A8 thanks to the N900! Then, because the fact is, that the 500 no graphics processor, so that any performance gain compared to current Symbian clock ^ 3 devices (run 680 MHz N8, E7, C7, etc.) goes to the curb, because it has everything in the software rendered. This thing is rather blah... look at this point.
