Official get BlackBerry 9810 torch and torch 9850 / 60

RIM has two their long leaked devices announced this morning: BlackBerry torch 9810 and BlackBerry-torch 9850/60. Both are confirmed that have 1.2 GHz processor and 768 MB of RAM. As expected, will the torch beat 9810 9850/60 to local memory with 8 GB and 4 GB, but this is more or less balanced if you MicroSD cards into the mix.   The screen sizes and resolutions are also confirmed to 3.7 inch and 800 x 480, for the 9850/60 and 3.2 inches at 640 x 480 for the torch 9810. A nice little surprise for the BlackBerry 9810 is that it supports UMA-capable, allowing calls over Wi-Fi if of the air carrier. You must enable both magnetic compass, augmented reality applications. They are also both run the new OS 7 software, which has a handful of user experience improvements, such as voice-activated universal search and a new rendering engine, navigation and Web browsing much more should be smooth. RIM is however with some of the specialties is coy; The only one is mentioned bold 9900 / 30, which was announced a few months ago as the first device OS 7 to have NFC capabilities.

With all that being said is the only real visible difference between the two devices the form factor. NFC remains the wild card and may very well be the one thing, which makes fat 9900 / 30 before the number, but that remains to be seen. As far as marketing goes, I'm sold not yet on the name context heads 9850 / 60 a torch. I get that wanted to get RIM way brand, of the negative stigma of the storm and the torch was already well established, but it feels like the character of the name is diluted when it is shared by two devices, which really nothing look the same. How well will they do in the long run? I think this is up in the air. BlackBerry as a whole is pretty hard through the competition has been lately always has on but if these seven devices can OS at least within arm reach of current Android and iOS alternatives, RIM should be able to buy enough time before their start DualCore-QNX powered handset early next year.

We a few expect more OS 7 devices by RIM, including the curve 9360, fat 9790 and BlackBerry Orlando, but if leaked release dates any indication, those should come before the end of the year.
